5 Foods For Hair Growth You Will Love

5 Foods For Hair Growth

Growing longer and  stronger hair is a goal that many of us have in mind. But one can not forget about health to go along with that. What you put on your hair is just as important as what goes in your body. “Beauty from the inside out!” Instead of of paying for high priced vitamins that may or may not work, enjoy your everyday foods to speed along your hair growth process. So you want to grow your hair? Here are five foods you can eat that will give you great results.

1. Eggs

Eggs are an eggcellent (I just had to do a pun)  source of protein that any can enjoy. Whether you are serving them up with a breakfast meal or including them in one of grandma’s famous deserts, you can not go wrong with this staple food here. Hearty eggs also include zinc which aid in helping the secreting glands of your hair follicles. In other words it keeps your hair on your head and not in your bathroom sink.

2. Salmon

On to the fancier and some might even say more delicious. Salmon has Omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamins that are a must to maintain a healthy head of hair. While another awesome source of protein, you can grill it or bake it to help prevent brittle and dry hair.

3. Sweet Potatoes

Yeeees girl! Those sweet potatoes that go along with every Thanksgiving dinner (or every meal for that matter) have been paying off all these years. Yet another great food for hair growth because it contains beta carotene which helps your hair from becoming brittle and breaking off. So have a second go around with the sweet potato pie, candied yams, and sweet potato fries, your hair will be shouting from the heavens in the months to come.

4. Almonds

Almonds, Pecans, Walnuts, and even peanuts are a great source of biotin, protein and many other minerals. These can easily be added to a salad, your favorite dessert or just grab a hand full of them on your way out the door. It doesn’t get much easier than that! More importantly, your hair loves the extra nutrients it is getting from the biotin, which is a key factor to growing longer hair.

5. Avocados

Yes, we did save the best for last! Avocados are beneficial in hair growth by  preventing breakage, adding shine to the hair, and strengthening those locs as well due to their high concentration of vitamins B and E.  If you go to Youtube right now, you can also see that Avocados can make a great deep conditioner as well. Some of the healthy hair gurus swear by using avocados and even show us their secret recipe (sharing is caring).

Yes, this is just five foods that help with hair growth, but there are so many other foods out there to get your hair on the right track. Are there any foods that you know of that should be added to this list?  Please share with us in the comment section below.
